Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is a student driven process where they cultivate their own informed decisions for post-secondary success. Students utilizing ACP also improve their understanding of post-secondary options, better connect their goals to educational coursework and career goal activities, and engage in long-term planning for life after high school graduation.
ACP is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.
Pepin Area School District's Mission:
To encourage a community of learners in a positive atmosphere where learning is a life long process, which develops responsible citizens who value knowledge.
Our Academic and Career Planning (ACP) mission, directly relates to our district mission by providing information and opportunities for self-awareness, career exploration and academic planning. Our goal is that all students will be prepared for any academic or career path they choose, so they will be college and career ready.
Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, the Pepin Area School District will be assisting students in grades 6 – 12 to create a digital portfolio using the website: Career Cruising. Various activities will include personal inventories, course planning, and college and career exploration.
Our ACP goal: Upon graduation from Pepin Area School District, all students will have created an Academic and Career plan and will have participated in a variety of activities to prepare them for college, the workforce, or the military.
